WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

Pixinsight User Interface
Participants will get to know the basic user interface components and tools of the PixInsight program and learn how to use them effectively.

Removal of Bad Frames Before Calibration and Stacking
During deep space photography, participants will learn how to identify and remove bad frames caused by issues like clouds, airplanes or satellites crossing the frame, or tracking errors. They will be taught the criteria to consider and which PixInsight modules to use for this process, ensuring that the bad frames are excluded from calibration and stacking.

Calibration & Stacking
Using the Weighted Batch PreProcessing script in PixInsight, participants will learn how to calibrate and stack the selected frames from the previous step.

Post Process / Image Processing

Participants will grasp the steps involved in processing a linear image after stacking, including the PixInsight processes used at each stage.
